I’m Sarah Helen Slovak, a narrative designer, game writer, and artist based in north New Jersey. I’m a Junior Narrative Designer at Lunacy Studios and a freelance writer at Son of Oak, working on Cairo:Otherscape. I’m a co-founder of snacktime games, currently developing Signal Creek.
I am a 2025 Amplifying New Voices program recipient, and a 2022 DICE Scholar through the AIAS Foundation. I graduated from the NYU Game Center in May, 2023 with a minor in Creative Writing.

A “fan-game” for a PS2-era horror game that never existed. Explores thinly-veiled queerness and haunted houses.

Script, TV pilot, apx. 17 pages. An archaeology professor visits a circus and gets a more treacherous experience than they bargained for. Set in a unique steampunk world.
Fiction, prose, two chapters. After having been freed from jail, Ror Setti is forcibly brought back to the pirate ship The Catatonia and must face the consequences of her mistakes.
